3 tips to help out with Breakfast

1. Make breakfast the night before.

Decide on what you are going to have and prepare it the night before. This can be done with almost all breakfast recipes, except for cereal. There are plenty of breakfast options to choose from.

Scrambling in the morning to make a shake now turns into…

Measuring out 1 cup of berries and 2 handfuls of spinach, which are put into an air -tight container.

Leave a tablespoon by the blender to measure out chia seeds. Now all you need to do in the morning is dump the fruit and spinach combo into the blender, along with the chia seeds, a scoop of protein powder and your liquid of choice (which can also be measured out ahead of time). Press ON.

The whole thing takes no more than 3 minutes. Pour into a shaker cup and drink in the car.

2. Wake up 15 minutes earlier.

This might seem like a difficult thing to do but once you get into the habit of eating a balanced breakfast you will have more energy. Getting up earlier will not be hard.

Imagine waking up feeling rested and ready to start the day. That can only happen when you choose to eat macronutriently balanced meals that stabilize your blood sugar levels.

Waking up 15 minutes earlier gives you a little bit of extra time to sit down and eat your breakfast.

3. Eat breakfast at work.

Almost all workplaces have kitchen facilities nowadays. When you do your weekly grocery shopping buy extra breakfast foods like single serve Greek yoghurts, cottage cheese, plain oatmeal packets and pints of berries to keep at work.

Eating when rushed is never a good idea so wait to eat breakfast until you get to work. Just make sure you actually eat the breakfast and not dive right into emails the moment you get there and forget to eat!
