Barre Philosophy before and afterExercise should be fun, something you look forward to in your day, not something you dread. Our goal for our clients is that they will leave each class feeling empowered, stronger and happy. What ever your goal may be, we can help you achieve it.

We know it is hard to loose weight and stay in shape. Our founder Kristy LeBlanc has struggled with her weight her whole adult life. When exercise not part of your life and you want to loose weight, exercise can seem like another chore in your day. The hardest part is getting started. Once you’ve purchased a class pass and booked your first class you will be on your way.

The secrets to living a healthy life style:

  • Stay away from the scale, rather focus on how your clothes fit
  • Make healthy food and beverage choices, diet pop is not the answer
  • Stay away from processed foods, eat clean
  • Enjoy life and all it has to offer
  • Be kind to yourself, we are our worst critic
  • Exercise a minimum of 3x per week
  • Do it for yourself

Life seems to be getting busier, it is like a badge of honour to be the busy. We seem to have forgotten how to relax and enjoy the simple things in life, and even worse we tend to put ourself last on the ‘to do’ list. Taking time to take care of yourself is the best gift you can give! The great result of living a healthier lifestyle is that you will have more energy to do all that you need and want to do.

Imagine your body like a car, if you do not take good care of it – it won’t run properly. Exercising shouldn’t be about having a flat stomach and chiselled arms. Exercise should be about servicing your body so it will continue to serve you. Unless you are training for a sport, you do not need to push your body to extremes. If you are preparing for a sport, the best thing you can do is add an exercise routine like Pilates and Yoga that works your core and your deep stabilizing muscles to support the strain that your sport puts on your body.
